Into the great wide open! The road leading to Monument Valley, Arizona, from Mexican Hat, Utah.
I visited Monument Valley in April 2010. Monument Valley is in NE Arizona right on the Utah border. It's a classic Southwest USA location - it's been in a lot of western movies. You can drive a dirt road for 17 miles on a dirt road (the first mile is horrible but it gets better after that). I was going to go with a photo tour but it was very cold and windy that day - the people in the open air jeeps looked frozen. Maybe next time!
